Police say excessive speed is believed to have contributed to the crash. Unfortunately, Troxel did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The impact caused the Jeep to roll onto the passenger side, with the roof impacting a tree. The Jeep slid across Meridian Road, striking a group of rocks on the east side of the roadway.
